How To Create A Vision Board.


It doesn't have to be December or the beginning of January to create and make a vision board. My daughters and I like to make vision boards and set new goals right before they go back to school and start a new school year.

I have been making vision boards for 5 years now and in January 2020 I made a vision board and almost EVERYTHING on that board became true in my life! With a few simple steps, you can have an inspiration/vision board that both looks amazing AND helps you visualize your best life.


What is a vision board?

A collage of images and words representing a person's wishes or goals, intended to serve as inspiration or motivation. A vision board is a physical collection of items such as pictures, magazine clippings, words, and quotes that visually affirm your goals and dreams. They work because what you focus on expands. You can use a cork board, poster board, or even do it digitally on apps/sites like Canva.

How Does a Vision Board Work? When you create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing short visualization exercises throughout the day.

Visualization is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.

Now the fun part.


  • I like to write my goals down first on a piece of paper. My kids make their vision boards on how they want school to go, their sports, goals they have about being productive, achieving a tumbling pass, etc. From your goals and aspirations, think about what you want on your vision board.

  • Plan Out Your Vision Board. There are really no rules. This should be a fun and creative time for you and your family or friends. Your board should include anything that inspires and motivates you. It should be a visual representation of how you want your life to look. The purpose of your board is to bring everything on it to life. Start gathering any supplies that you already have in your home to use for your vision board. This can consist of many things such as pictures, favorite quotes, spiritual quotes, inspirational quotes, magazines, use markers, glitter, get creative.

  • Your Supplies: The board: poster board or cork board, scissors, glue, markers, and glitter. If you want to get very fancy you can buy a white wood-framed pinboard on Etsy or at a craft store.



Give yourself a good hour of stress free time. This is also a fun bonding activity to do with the family too.


Create Your Vision Board Now, you’re ready to actually create your vision board. Try following these simple steps for how to make a vision board:

  • I like to play Hz Frequencies found on YouTube. 888 and 528 are good tones to help manifest.

  • Light a non-toxic candle or some essential oils and start creating.

You can divide your board into 4 parts, one for family, one for career, one for health, and one for finance. Or your board can simply all be about career or mindset. It is your's so let your mind guide you how you want it to be. I like to use words like patience, stress-free, and happy on mine.


Now, put it in a place where you'll see it each day! My vision boards are in my office. My kids have their's in their rooms.
